Field Trips for 2nd Grade and up
The museum features model airplanes, photographs, airline uniforms and other memorabilia. Through our many windows that look out onto the runways at LAX, students can watch airplanes take off and land .as they listen to the air traffic controllers in the tower. They can also watch a film about the history of Los Angeles World Airports.
Guided tours are available by appointment, Thursdays at 10 AM, lasting approximately 90 minutes. Class size is limited to 60 students. Admission and parking are free.
There are several local parks as well as Dockweiller State Beach within minutes of the museum where students may enjoy a picnic style lunch and the fresh air. At Dockweiller Beach students can also watch the aircraft flying overhead as they depart LAX.
Check the Visiting the Museum for directions and a map to the museum. Use the controls at the left of the map to zoom in or out. Click and drag the map to move its field of view. The red marker indicates the museum.
